Well maybe it's because A.K.A is somewhat of a METROsexual, being in GQ's top ten best dressed men of 2011. And maybe it's got alot to do with the fact that he produces good music aswell, either way the man scooped 3 awards at the Metro FM awards hosted in Mpumalanga this past weekend. He won Best Hip Hop Album, Best Produced Album and Best Newcomer. He's been marketing for votes on Facebook and Twitter for the past month and has received the fruits of his labour.
Zahara came next scooping 2 awards from 4 nominations, Best Female Album and Song of The Year. Deservedly so since she's all we hear everywhere we go. Maybe the two should do a collabo now, would be an interesting combination.
