CONTROVERSY farmer Nonhle Thema has been exposed as a liar.
Nonhle, real name Nobuhle Precious Thema, caused a stir two months back when she lampooned YFM DJs, saying they were struggling financially and renting their accommodation because they were resting on their laurels.
The TV presenter boasted on Twitter that she was worth R10 million and she could pay their salaries as the station underpays them.
But Sunday World can today reveal that Thema does not even own a property herself. The Dainfern house in northern Joburg in which she is living does not belong to her but to Montago Homes.
Our investigation also reveals that Thema has never purchased a house.
Nor does she own a company. She isn’t even a director of one.
Her employment history shows that she has worked only at M-Net, where she presented various programmes, and on her own reality TV show about her life and short stay in Hollywood in the US.
So how Thema amassed her wealth, which she gloats about every day, is a mystery.
And despite her claim to be filthy rich, she buys clothes on credit. This is reflected in her credit history.
Our research was sparked by Nonhle’s tweet about two months ago, in which she provoked e.tv Club 808 presenter Dineo Ranaka, accusing her of being broke.
“I got more money than u ever dreamed off (sic)....,” she tweeted. “I’m young and rich girl (sic). YFM DJ pees are struggling to pay rent....sitdown or I will give you a loan. All the YFM DJs I can double your salaries.
“I can buy YFM...so sit down... If u are YFM DJs and u need money, holla at me...lol u talk a lot and cannot back it up, broke ass DJs, all off (sic) u sit down....”
Ranaka hit back : “When you sleep for it (money), it comes fast... be patient with me @NonhleThema i’m still working, it takes a while.... #I’m BrokeBitch.”
Ranaka later opened a case of intimidation against Thema after she allegedly threatened to kill her.
When approached about this Thema said: “I can’t comment about that” and cut us off.
* Thema is also embroiled in a legal dispute with Live co-presenter Minnie Dlamini after she called Dlamini a drunk on Twitter after Dlamini was allegedly beaten up by a bouncer at Club Hush in Rosebank.
And last week a newspaper reported that businesswoman Basetsana Khumalo snubbed Thema at a function in Jozi.
It was reported that Khumalo publicly refused to pose for a picture with Thema as she was unhappy about her untoward behaviour. SundayWorld.co.za
Kenny's Makwapeni Eda Rose - SUSHI king and confessed polygamist Kenny Kunene has allegedly been robbing the cradle behind his wives’ backs.
Although he calls himself a polygamist he wouldn’t tell us how many wives he has.
Kunene (41) has allegedly been doing the horizontal with 22-year-old fledgling YFM traffic reporter Eda Rose.
This riveting claim was made by Kunene’s business partner Gayton McKenzie during acrimonious exchanges between him and Rose on social network Twitter this week.
The tiff between the two was sparked by McKenzie’s announcement at the premiere of Kunene’ s reality TV show last Saturday that Rose was Kunene’s girlfriend.
This allegedly angered Rose, who denied on Twitter that she knew the mining tycoon in the biblical sense.
Rose, who attended Dudu Zuma’s wedding with Kunene, accused Mckenzie of inventing a tall story . Mckenzie hit back: “U better not say I’m lying cause I’ll bring out the security tapes at@zarsushiking’s (Kunene’s) apartment where @edaroseofficial (Eda Rose) is a regular.
“You just should have kept quiet. Don’t be a devil at nite and f***ing act angel during the day. @edaroseofficial and @zarsushiking have been f***inbuddies for long.”
McKenzie challenged Rose: “It’s called reality baby. Sue me.”
Kunene confirms he is a polygamist but says he has not officially registered his wives.
“Many men in this country have more than one wife but because they haven’t registered them officially these fake moralists call them mistresses,” he says when asked for comment.
“This because they want to Westernise our culture and insult our traditional leaders. As long as you buy them houses and take care of them, they are your wives,” he says.
“Do you do that?” we ask Kunene. “Yes, I’m doing that. I take care of my wives and that’s not promiscuity,” he replies.
“But what about Eda Rose? She isn’t living in your house but you have had an affair with her. Is that promiscuity or polygamy?” we ask.
