Running With The Reps - What We Have Learnt About The Reps

All we used to know was that they dance and are the most well-known hip-hop dancers in the country. But thanks to Graeme Swanepoel we get an insight into their business, their dancing and more interestingly their lives. They’re not just dancers; they’ve instituted a relatively good business aspect to their passion and added some structure to it. It seems like the leading criteria to be part of the Reps is being a snob though, besides the dancing.

The Bosses
As much as Nthato and Larry are the "leaders" of the crew, there's a sense of Mike being the boss.He calls the shots, everyone listens to him and he doesn't b*tch and moan like Taydo does. Mike is senior management and seems to be doing a very good job of it. He leads with an iron fist and is not afraid to speak out about any issues he seas in the crew. The crew likes his style and you can see he commands a whole lot of respect. Without "The General", as they call him, I doubt the crew would be this far.  Nthato is certainly the most well-known one as e was there from the start. He's a great dancer and choreographer though he has picked up more pounds than The Queen Of England. Maybe he should just stick to choreography, or lose a whole some weight. The man with the Fringe has caused alot of discomfort amongst the group, seems he likes breaking happy homes and is as hard headed as ever. After the past week's episode we see him in a new light and it will be interesting to see if he will stay with the crew after lastweek's showdown. You have to uderstand his dilema if he doesn't wanna stay though. He founded the crew, he's been leader ever since, then he's gonna become a normal dancer without a considerable position? If he decides to stay then he's gonna feel like more of a punk. He was embarrassed on national television, let's see how he redeems himself. Larry is co-founder of the crew and has been holding it down for the reps since it started. Him and Taydo were co-leaders till people's chicks got screwed and macked on lmao. He's a loud mf and certainly the most entertaining. Even though him and Taydo were the leaders, Nthato seemed more dominant and lastweek we saw Larry taking great advantage of the situation to become the supreme leader (or as he says it, taking initiative lol). In terms of the entertainment industry I see him going the furthest. The others are just dancers but Larry is a personality, I wonder what's next for him.

The Dancers
The show doesn't go into too much detail about all the 10+ members but gives interesting insight into the lives of 3 others, Chama and The Thunacats. Chama is one of the senior members, which basically means he's also been there long. He's apparently the chic magnet and somewhat of a pimp. He seems like the sane one who thinks before he acts and calculates his moves. But he also appears to be a bit of a pushover aswell. The Thundacatts are the theatrical two and one of the best feature on the show. They exaggerate everything which makes it way more entertaining. They are Pinky And The Brain, or in this case Boney and The Muscle who is the most talkative. Without these two the show would be incomplete for sure.

The DJ
The house DJ who seems to care about nothing but himself. He's chilled, laidback and nothing seems to bother him. Ellipsis knows alot about African time but rocks a show if he has to.

All in all this is a great show and hopefully it means more to the crew and will leapfrog their careers. Let's see what happens.
