Rebecca's Movie Set For Release - In the states you get a movie made about your life if you're a rapper, in Mzansi you gotta be an iconic politician or the most successful, wellknown and influential Gospel singer in the country. Directed by the man who literally helped Rebecca reach for the heavens, Chico Twala and the crew began filming last year. The movie is split in 3 parts, her as a teenager, her in her success in the 30s and her current self now towards the end of the film. According to Twala, this movie is aimed at motivating impoverished young girls in S.A. As much as I cannot listen to her music, I respect her for what she's done and still doing. I look forward to the movie, this will add to S.A's milestones, Big Up!!!
The Reps Representing - The first episode of running with the Reps aired last Friday, an insight into arguably the most well-known hip-hop dance crew in the country. The show started with intros of the whole crew, how they formed, who the juniors and the bosses are and what goals they're are trying to reach currently. It's great to see they're still doing their thing after so many years. Another nice thing about the show is that it gives great insight into their personal lives, Larry's (Larry-n-Gitis) squabbles with his girlfriend and Nthathi's life with his ex and baby, and Mike the manager's fam is in there aswell. Looking forward to see what else can be pulled out of this hat.
Unreleased Eminem Tracks Leak -
A nine track collection of songs by Eminem, thought to have been recorded between the releases of ‘Relapse’ in 2009 and ‘Recovery’ in 2010, has leaked online.
Assuming the dating of these recordings is correct, they may well be songs originally intended for ‘Relapse 2′. That record was retitled ‘Recovery’ of course, and it’s thought some of the tracks originally intended for it were shelved. At the time, Eminem said: “I had originally planned for ‘Relapse 2′ to come out last year. But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to ‘Relapse’ started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on ‘Recovery’ came out very different from ‘Relapse’, and I think it deserves its own title”.
Posted on studioleaks.info, it’s not clear how the tracks made their way to the internet, but they’ve already been bundled together and called the ‘Straight From The Vault EP’.
