10. DJ Cleo - Shayi Vuvuzela - The only Wprld Cup song I could really sing loud, I wasn't a Waka Shaka Laka or whatever fan though Shakira kept my eyes glued to the screen with the video. Cleo's also one of my hustlers of the year. He seems to be always on a mission and with this song I say...MISSION COMPLETE.
9. Die Heuwels fantasties - Hyg Duiwel - If you haven't heard this song on the airwaves then you're not listening. They might be an Afrikaans band but they do their thing. Besides this song the have a track with The Soweto Gospel Choir aswell as JR and more artists. Nice to see we finally want to sing along to Afrikaans songs. (Great video aswel.
8.Winnie Khumalo - Live my life - She might not have sex appeal but she has "flex" appeal. She dances better than alot of slender girls I know and her voice is among the industry's best. "Live My Life" was hot on the charts in S.A for a while and certainly made a mark.
7. Liquid Deep - Don't have to be alone - After Fairytale I was certain that they could not release another hit single... That's just how it works, an album usually has 1 seriously hot song, but Liquid Deep broke that law with this track. December it's gonna be blazing.
6. Die Antwoord - Enter The Ninja - Lord knows we needed something new in our hip hop industry and they are seriously "die antwoord" (the answer). Their "zef side" mentality and blunt, witty but funny lyrics made them possibly the richest S.A hip-hop act ever. Mainly because of their international affiliation. Big ups.
5. L-Tido feat K.O - We Rollin' - The best lyrics on a local rap track for sure. Great beat and consolation for the battle he lost to A.K.A by not pitching hehehe (L-Tido that is). My rap track of the year.
4. Miza & Flabba - Super Hero - It's great when a track gets attention from ALL RACES. Black or white there's no way you don't know this song. The catchiest, funniest lyrics is what Flabba is known for and Miza couldn't have done it without him. A job welldone. Miza should change his CD cover though, he looks like a cyborg.
3. Liquid Deep - Fairytale - No question there. One of the best produced and composed tracks EVER. Had everyone singing and feeling emotional lol. Two top songs this year, definitely something to drink to.
2. J.R - Make the Circle Beega - He didn't just create a great song, but people are still using this expression everytime they see a circle of sorts lol. J.R is the king of hit singles, from Kgata lina to this. Let's see what his next album has in store.
1. Professor feat Oskido - Jezebel - uJezebel uya'skwatisa sonke lmao. From all the hot songs this year Jezebel came from nowhere and snatched the no.1 spot. Being a M'rapa I never thought I would ever take a serious listen to "Professor", but if you don't like this song, then your December will be BORING. You've earned the prize nyikka.
