Every woman would love to be Khanyi Mbau (but would never admit it)
It goes without saying that Khanyi Mbau makes gold-digging look like a profitable 9-5(and Im not talking about a career in mining or engineering). The girl has skills that would put AngloGold out of business because she just always seems to be able to sniff out where all the ‘goldmines’are.
But why gold-digging? Instead of being like most normal well-rounded young women who get an education and qualify in a certain field of work which comes with PAYE, UIF, medical aid, housing allowance and a salary which affords one a Yaris(for start up of course), a Truworths store card and enough money to do hair, nails, and go out for drinks with the girls once or twice.... And then?
Khanyi is not ‘normal’ – as she put it during her interview with Redi on Mzansi Magic.She told Redi that she refuses to live a ‘normal and boring’ life like everyone else who wakes up in the morning, goes to work, does their bit for the day, come back home and start the rat race all over again next day..She even said that she has many lives and she is living each one out all the time – that would have been funny if there weren’t any allegations about her using muti given to her by a high-profile Togolese witchdoctor who gives her potent muti to weave rich, ‘helpless’ men under her spell. Helpless because it seems like men who fall under Khanyi’s spell lose a bit of their sanity at some point - Theunis Crous once said that she has ‘an overpowering sex appeal’
But that still wouldn’t stop a lot of young women from wanting to live out her crazy life because:
· She is the epitome of a real-life celebrity (unlike a lot of our so-called celebrities who play it safe all the time – hence politicians and soccer players are our source of entertainment).
A lot of women already do what Khanyisile Mbau is doing – date wealthy, high-profile, married men who take them on shopping sprees, pay for expensive spa treatments as well as lavish weekend holidays away – the only difference is that they avoid the media
