So what happens to a star when they lose their appeal? Well let's ask MC Hammer. He was arguably the biggest star of the early 90s and one of the 1st really big stars to lose it. With hits like "Can't touch this", and "Too legit to quit". Plus he had a certain form of pants he trademarked as his own. He thought he had it all and blew money like he was breathing it. But soon enough the world realised he just wore too much silk. He went bankrupt in 95 -96 falling $13 million in debt, he blamed it on dumb spending sprees and mooch friends.
Where is he now? "Hammer time" ended in 1996. He decided to be a man of God after his close friend, Tupac, was shot dead. He lives in a 4 room apartment with his wife and four kids. He's been doing ads all over the world, including a Colgate ad in France and the Castle light one hurrr in S.A. He has a blog, http://mchammer.blogspot.com/ . He has a spot called "before they were stars", ironically I'm detailing him AFTER he was a star. He has launched a lot of other albums which never made it aswell. He's also launched a bunch of dance groups, shows and sites.
Sadly it always happens all the time, one moment you're in stardom. Then all of a sudden you're not and you're DOM. Good luck for the future man
